Who we are

Centre for War Victims & Human Rights (CWVHR) is a non-profit, international organization for war victims and human rights. CWVHR is established to give protection for War Victims and assist them to pursue justice against their perpetrators. CWVHR will promote Human Rights at national and international levels and spread the knowledge and values of human rights among all people.



What do we do

CWVHR collects information of individuals whose human rights are violated. This means the violation of all kinds of rights – economic, social and cultural as well as civil and political.

Protection against such atrocities as genocide, large scale massacres, torture, arbitrary arrest, unlawful detention, enforced disappearance, extra-judicial killing, rape – starts with information in the hands of a few who are often themselves threatened with reprisal. CWVHR will transmit the information gathered to the respective authorities and speed up the remedial process and seek measures to end the culture that perpetrates these evils with impunity.

Our collective effort on this documentation of the violation of human rights is paramount and central for the protection of people at both national and international levels.

This means cooperative efforts to improve and professionalise working methods, as well as earnest commitment and readiness to exchange our documentation efforts and know-how with other organizations that share our vision and mission.

CWVHR sincerely believes and hopes that its dedicated work will contribute to making the documentation work on human rights more effective in the struggle for human rights worldwide.

Human rights are being universally reaffirmed as inevitably linked to democracy, rule of law, social justice, sustainable development and peace.
